An interview with Bochic’s David Joseph is featured in the “Facets Designer” section of April’s Solitaire Magazine.  Describing Bochic as a mix of East and West, the clash of cultures with bold bursts of color not usually associated with fine jewelry and strokes of worldly inspiration. Bochic is always exploring new techniques, textures and different materials such as natural opaque stone, jet, mammoth, and jade to make every single piece unique.

Symbolizing the five virtues of humanity in Chinese culture:  wisdom, compassion, justice, modesty and courage, the beauty of Jade is highlighted in the Facet Trend section. Bochic carved black Jade earrings with diamonds and pearls in blackened gold are featured.

Haute Jewelry with a Heart

Bochic is featured in the December 2011 issue of Solitaire magazine for our philanthropic work of years past.  In 2010 jewelry worn by Ashley Greene, Sandra Bullock and Jennifer Carpenter was auctioned off at the prestigious auction house of Doyle in New York.  All proceeds were donated to charity:water, a nonprofit organization that aims to provide clean and safe drinking water to nearly a billion people in developing nations.

The Fine Art of Jewellery & Global trends

Bochic Earrings are setting trends in the June/July issue of Solitaire Magazine.  Our Red Jasper and Diamond earrings are helping shape the print trend, while our Ruby Tassel Earrings are taking on the fringe look.   Both pairs are unique in their own way, but distinctly Bochic.

Prints are popping up everywhere, from bold motifs on the Louis Vuitton runway to the intricate diamond work on our exquisite earrings.  The bold red stone is the perfect backdrop for a striking diamond pattern and offers an unexpected twist.

Another trend highlighted by the magazine is fringe, showcased beautifully by our ruby and diamond tassel earrings.  Similar to the pieces worn by Natalie Portman at the 2011 Oscars, the Bochic tassel earrings exhibit vintage glamour with a modern twist.

The winter issue of Solitaire Magazine features Bochic hand-carved blue jade bracelets and a stunning pair of Bochic amazonite and diamond drop earrings.  The jewelry was shown as part of the magazine’s editorial coverage of Solitaire Jewel Gala 2010, which took place in Shanghai, in December.

Solitaire Magazine’s October issue takes a closer look at gold craft. On p. 71 we find a Bochic hammered gold cuff with diamond starburst detail, held up as an example of wonderful texture, structure and embellishment work in a gold piece.
