Vanessa Earrings - Ruby & Sapphire, 18K Gold & Silver By Bochic

The Vanessa Earrings are a Vintage pair from the Orient collection by Bochic, a traveling collection devoted to color, craftsmanship, and the romance of faraway places. Designed as serpents, a motif long associated with protection and eternal renewal, they carry a Baroque sense of richness and movement.

Natural multicolor sapphires from Sri Lanka of approximately 4.5 ct give the serpents their shimmering scales, in shades of blue, orange, pink, yellow, and green. Natural rubies of approximately 1 ct add warm accents of red. The colors flow along the sinuous form of the design, so the earrings seem to glow and change as the light moves across them.

The earrings are handcrafted in 18K gold and silver, a combination that lends a warm, softly aged character to the serpent motif. They are designed for pierced ears.

Dating from the late 20th century, the Vanessa Earrings have been kept in excellent condition in their original box, with only light wear consistent with age.
