Despina Earrings
$1,650
The Despina Earrings belong to the Vintage Orient Art Deco collection by Bochic, a collection devoted to color, craftsmanship, and the romance of faraway places, interpreted through the elegant order of the Art Deco era. Ornate and generously proportioned, they are a pair made to be noticed and remembered.
At the heart of each earring rests an oval ruby cabochon, its smooth domed surface glowing with a deep, velvety crimson. Around it, an openwork frame of graceful scrollwork is set with further rubies and bright white topaz, so that the warm red is traced with crisp points of light. Together the rubies weigh approximately 18 ct and the white topaz approximately 3 ct, a rich composition that feels both opulent and refined.
The earrings are handcrafted in 18K gold and silver, and the warm, rosy tone of the metal deepens the glow of the rubies beautifully. Measuring approximately 75 mm long and 40 mm wide, they fall with a confident, graceful drop that frames the face.
With a cream silk blouse or a fine cashmere sweater they bring a striking touch of color to daytime dressing, and in the evening they become the focal point of a black gown, especially with hair swept up to reveal their movement.
They are a jewel for a woman who loves rubies and wears statement pieces with natural ease.
Despina Earrings signed Bochic and are presented in a Bochic champagne and satin case. A gemological certificate and appraisal are available upon request.
